Football During a Pandemic: Dortmund 4-nil vs Schalke

Every sports league around the globe is adapting to the new ways of training and games being played. Borussia Dortmund captured a 4-nil win securing a clean sheet over FC Schalke in their first game back from the health break. Erling Haaland scored in the 29th minute of Match day 26 to put Dortmund on the board at Signal Iduna Park. Rafaël Guerrerio hit the back of the net in the 45 minute for a 2-0 lead. In the second half Haaland brought the ball up field, passed to Guerririo for a 1-2 back securing the second goal of the match for Guerrerio.
The matchup of Dortmund and Schalke is one of the top rivalries in the Bundesliga, known as the Revierderby, comparable to La Liga's El Classico with Real Madrid and Barcelona. Ninety-six years of football history stand between these two teams, to be fair there's not much else in the middle as the two cities are located 20 miles a part. The Ruhr Region, in which these teams are situated in the heart of, have a strong history supporting Germany's coal and steal industries. Some say that the two have more in common than differences, but sometimes that is where the greatest rivalries are born.
Dortmund are situated behind Bayern Munich for the second slot in the German table with 54 points and Schalke are ranked 8th with 37 points.
Due to COVID-19, several safety measures and health regulations are required in order for matches to be carried out. The Bundesliga has taken every precaution ensuring the best care for all of the athletes, fans and staff. First off, all matches will be played without fans in the stadium, each team will be given five substitutions along with no hand shaking and staggered player arrival times. Each team enters from a separate part of the stadium and all players and personal are required to remain socially distant while wearing a mask, aside from on the pitch.
Upon Match day 27 Borussia Dortmund are to play Wolfsburg at Volkswagen Arena while Schalke will play Augsburg at Veltins Arena.
