(Written during my freshman year of college)

All my life I have loved everything to do with sports and I have dreamed of one day working for a professional sports team, major sports network or sports magazine. These are all dream jobs of mine and it's really hard to pick one that I'd want over another.

I want to eventually study abroad in Spain and hope to come across the opportunity for an internship with Real Madrid. My role model when it comes to soccer is Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid. It would definitely be a dream come true if I was to be working for the same team that my idol plays for. The other professional teams I would want to work for are the Bruins, the Red Sox or the Revolution. For any professional sports team I think I would want to be organizing and publicizing team events, charity events or even coordinating events to do with the team mascot.

If I were to work for a sports network like NESN or ESPN I would want to be out on the field interviewing players or a sports announcer for the games. I'd also want to be a sportscaster on shows like NESN Sports Today or ESPN Sports Center. Growing up watching the Red Sox I always admired Jerry Remy and Don Orsillo, and I think that’s how I discovered that I wanted to work for a sports associated network.

Working for a sports affiliated magazine such as Sports Illustrated would be awesome. I love writing and watching sports, the perfect combination to be a sports journalist. I'd love to be writing articles on the Bruins, the Red Sox or the Revolution.

I think that working in the sports industry is such a great opportunity and I honestly can't wait for the day that one of these dream jobs becomes something more than just a dream. Getting the chance to do what you love and having it become reality sounds like the best scenario. As my major is Sports Communications, there are so many great options out there to choose from especially in the Boston area.
